As I sat on the balcony of my room at Astam Resort, I couldn’t help but marvel at the breathtaking view of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountain ranges in the distance. It was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life, and I was thoroughly enjoying my stay at this family heritage resort.

The resort is located in Astam, a village that was once home to the Adhikari family, the owners of the resort. It’s a quaint little village that offers a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle and cultural practices of the local people. The resort is situated at an altitude of 1500m, which makes for a refreshing change in weather from the hot and humid plains.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the resort has a tea garden spanning over 20 romanies of land facing the mountains. I took a tour of the garden, and it was a surreal experience to be surrounded by rows of tea plants while enjoying the majestic view of the mountains.

The resort has 20 rooms, each with a balcony offering panoramic views of the mountains. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and I felt right at home. The staff was warm and welcoming, and they went out of their way to ensure that I had a pleasant stay.

The resort also has two restaurants, each offering a variety of cuisines to cater to different tastes. I tried both restaurants, and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the local Nepali dishes that were on offer.

One of the highlights of the resort is the conference hall, which can accommodate up to 56 people. The hall is well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and it’s an ideal venue for business meetings, conferences, and other events.

The resort also has a vehicle that can be rented out for sightseeing or transportation. I took a ride in the vehicle to explore the nearby areas, and it was a convenient way to get around.

The resort has a beautiful lawn space that’s perfect for outdoor events like weddings, parties, and picnics. There are three lawn spaces in total, each offering a different view of the mountains.

There are also four cottages that can be rented out for those who want a more private and secluded stay. The cottages are well-appointed and offer all the necessary amenities.

Overall, my stay at Astam Resort was an unforgettable experience. The natural beauty of the surroundings, coupled with the warm hospitality of the staff, made for a truly memorable trip. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the lap of nature.
